The oceanfront location of ‘Ovava Tree Lodge is just a short walk from the port where your whale swimming and diving adventures begin. Our lodge is designed specifically for our activities during the whale season (July-October) during which time accommodation will need to be packaged with whaling.
Our lodge boasts 10 fales with a range of ensuit or shared shower and toilet options. This immersive natural tree lodge is ideal for deep relaxation. The sound of the ocean lapping against the shore, the chirping of local birds, and even the crashing of breaching humpbacks on quiet days.
The whales can regularly be seen whilst enjoying your meals from our dining area where we offer a cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner meal plan during the whale season. There is no access to the kitchens by guests during the season, but our staff are always happy to do their best to suit any dietary requirements you may have, e.g. vegetarians, vegans, gluten and lactose intolerance.
